Project: "Ready! Off! Recycling !..." in first class

Project

The pupils in classes 1 and 1 ^ A ^ B were committed, the last period of the school year, in the implementation of the Project Environmental "Ready! off! Recycling! .." , aimed at achieving the following educational objectives:
  • to acquire students knowledge, attitudes, values \u200b\u200band skills of environmentally conscious: the participation, the sense of community and respect the land and thus themselves and others.
  • Driving the acquisition of appropriate behavior on the collection and recycling .

The various activities were carried out in an interdisciplinary manner and involved several disciplines. The work started by reading the Tale "War on Waste" followed, then, from analysis and reflection through discussions, completion cards, pictures, Web searches for images and information about the theme of the collection and recycling of waste materials.


In the final phase of the two classes the students have experienced the work of "Recycle" have reused waste materials in class and made them artistic and decorative elements.

In the first meeting, the eleven participating students were proposed seven activities taken from the collection "Mathematics for the citizen" of Barozzi, Bergamini, Boni, Ceriani, Pagan Publishing house Zanichelli. These activities are inspired by the problems proposed in OECD - Pisa.
The boys have chosen to settle six of seven activities individually or in groups of three and dividing by two.
The first four hours of classes were involved in the resolution of the questions in the six activities.

On 3 and 4 June the Comprehensive School Don Bosco center Trinity for the past seven years, as usual hosted a session of testing for competence in English. During the session, which took place in the Primary School "A. Ciancia, were examined 90 candidates from all primary and secondary level I institution and a few neighboring school in relation to grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. During the feedback, which took place at the end session, the examiner found that the students of the center all appeared well prepared, ready and with good interaction skills.
