A day with Jesus at Capernaum - Working with the LIM

Dear friends,
restore order to the desktop of my laptop (which is always packed on the other hand ... I stuff all there with the excuse that it remains the most visible and then not leave even a minute space free ...; -)) I found the activities with the IWB that I made and used during the school year with my boys 2A.
I've uploaded on the site of a Promethean - the company that provided software and whiteboard in my school - and I agree with you the link for viewing and downloading .

The argument is the beginning of Jesus' public life, following the story of the Gospel of Luke in Chapters 3 and 4. The flipchart (this is called the file generated by the program) is designed for an interactive explanation: in the first pages I have placed the songs in the Gospel, which I read with children, underlining the key words or by identifying the sequences, you'll notice that the texts are interspersed from photos of places from my last trip to the Holy Land: I think that the students see beauty even as they appear in today's environment of the Gospel story, the better to embed the word in history. In the final part, I expected a page to notebook: it was the time of reworking by pupils, known to synthesize - to turn the board and then on their notebooks - the information learned.

Catechism - opens a new section of the Blog

Hello,
I have already written that I also deal with catechesis for the Christian Initiation. During the month of June, I attended three very interesting evening for the formation of catechists in my area (or unit ministry) organized by the Equipe Catechists of area to which I belong. We wanted to carve out some time training at a time when we are not committed to working with the kids ...
E 'was really helpful and engaging. Three nice catechists of the parish of Novara came to share with us their catechetical method and the project developed and tested for years in their communities. Very enlightening!

You might resurface in some post some of the ideas I learned in those beautiful summer evenings ... With this post I will then add a section to blog : Although this website is about teaching the Catholic religion in school (and we all know how important it is not doing catechism among the desks!), I believe that much Teachers devote a bit 'of their free time also to catechism in the parish. How precious time spent with our boys!
Of course, the students that happen to us are smaller than those of the Pope .. and their issues are addressed, less theologically significant ... but the joys and sorrows of growing up is key! Star next to them during and beyond the lesson, with the style of the Pope in the footsteps of Jesus himself with the Apostles is really a gift of grace for our students, but also for us!
I happen to share in any class that delicate but deep intimacy that unites the teacher with pupils in a relationship of confrontation, dialogue and mutual support, but I have not always (or force?) To create other opportunities to meet .
